Whew! And the Results Are In

Worth requesting, if skeptically:
Queries 6, 7, and 12.

In need of more work:
Queries 4, 5, 8, 9, 11, 18, 19, 20.

Why are you so good at being so bad?
Queries 1, 3, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

Special Commendation:
Query 2.

Thank you all for braving the snark, and for sending so many goofy ones. Some of those last ones made me tear up from suppressed laughter (some people are sleeping at this hour).

Ooh! Ooh! Mine's a winner! It'll take just a jiffy; I'll get my ms all ready to send to... to... um... oh.
Crap. You're Anonymous.

Serious, thanks again, EA. The pixie would thank you too, I'm sure, but she's off sulking somewhere because I said she talked funny.

#12
And congrats to #6 and #7, too!

Thanks for the congrats, #12, and same to you.

EA, thank you for this opportunity! I got some great ideas on how to improve my query, and having it be "requested", however skeptically, is a real feather in my cap.

Thanks again,
Tori - #7

EA, thanks for your blog and for your query contest. It is helpful to read these query letters, your insights and the posted comments. My query letter improves every time I receive feedback.

Thank you.

Congrats to #6, #7 and #12.

I'm waiting for someone to wonder why it was some of the queries I saw promise in that I ripped into hardest. And I've been thinking about that myself. I think it's partially that I hate being disappointed, so when I see some glimmer, I start looking harder for the thing that will tell me not to hope.
Alas, hope springs eternal. And anonymity keeps me from getting to see these manuscripts. Double-blast.

It's nice to know that you're human, EA, so thank you for offering that tidbit.

Darn ... too bad we couldn't figure out a way to get past the shield of anonymity. =P

All the best.

Thanks for offering that insight into your thinking process, EA. If you'd seriously like to read my novel... hmm... you could always "wander over" to my blog and comment or something. ;)

Oh, and thanks again for the input. Hopefully my new query won't disappoint.
