Query 2: Eeeewwwwwwww.

To Editor, Hi. I have an idea for a story. I'd like to see it published. I could then tell people and myself I am a published writer. The name of it is "Teddybears Boudoir". It will tell the story of a teddybear and a unicorn. They fall in love, in the boudoir, and end up creating the first hybrid "Teddycorn". Book two would be about baby "Teddycorn" growing up and finding out he can't reproduce. Kinda like a mule. If you want to publish my books I will write them for you. A. Moron

This, this is the horror of slush.

i think this is the most awesome thing ever and have adopted the "teddycorn" as my spirit guide.

When "teddycorn" has hybrids of his own, you can write the sequel, titled "popcorn". Too funny!

Imagine the teddycorn merchandising opportunities....

LOL!!!

Yes. Sort of like Victoria's Secret American Doll merchandise. A teddy in a teddy. I'll leave it at that.

But imagine the possibilities.

If you did this in Japanimation, you could market it. add a cackling bad guy and giant swords.

No, no, Eric, for anime it would have to be a dragon and a unicorn -- with a unigon as the offspring.

Scratch that, I just googled "unigon" and the darned thing exists already.

All the good ideas are taken.

How about a fire-breathing teddy-bear!

Or a furry unicorn with a squeaker and button eyes!!

S**t. I've watched too many editions of Charmed recently to realize that this is a real certainty. Aaron Spelling has a knack for this stuff.

Aw, the naive writer doesn't realize that really SUCCESSFUL fantasy series are at least 10 books long. What is really needed here is more meat (is that an appropriate word when talking about animal stories?) about books 2 to 10. ;)
